Very rare wing mounted 20mm FF cannon’s an internal breach component,German Messerschmitt bf 109E-1 number 6281 of 7/JG51 shot down 25th October 1940 at Guestling,Sussex during the Battle of Britain
This is a very rare battle of Britain German Messerschmitt 109 relic completely recognizable item which is One of the Wing mounted 20mm FF cannon’s an internal breach component.
This is part which still has some original black/blue paintwork remains very clear to see still lots of original colours. The part is de activated by condition it is only a bit of damage by the impact of the crash it is in relic condition only lightly rusty but with no moving parts it has rusted solid and in overall lovely condition it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The gun part is from German Messerschmitt bf 109E-1 work number 6281 of 7/JG51 was on free-lance fighter sweep over Sussex. It was intercepted and shot down by RAF Hurricanes of 501 squadron on the 25th October 1940 during the Battle of Britain.The part comes with 3x A5 laminated information card with pictures and crash site pictures as well also with diagram picture showing the part and where abouts on the aircraft it is from in clear pictures.
The Messerschmitt 109 was shot down by RAF Hurricane flown by Flight Lieutenant E.Holden and Sergeant R.J.K Gent both of 501 squadron. The Messerschmitt was shot down crashed into a drainage ditch on Lidham Hill Farm in Guestling near Rye Harbour in Sussex. The pilot Feldwebel W.Koslowski baled out and was captured severely burned and taken to hospital and taken pow.
