This is a Very rare to find French or American soldiers Tissot M17 pattern gas mask which is very hard to find battlefield recovered being leather. The mask which is not complete but still nice condition the mask still with some original colours the leather has dried out and still retains its brown colour still with filter pipework connector but with none of the eyelet covers. The mask has been very nicely cleaned and is in nice solid condition no braking up or falling apart but is perfect for a collection or any display. The gas mask was recovered from Belleau wood the June 1918 battlefield near Marne River in France.The gas mask comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards with map.
