This is a very rare large box perspex framed aluminium airframe part with a few maker marking numbers very clear to see. This part still retains its original colours and a bit of paintwork and is a nice solid part with many pictures of the crash site and the zeppelin its self which has been mounted in a large perspex fronted frame measuring 21 inches long by 17 inches wide making it perfect for display or a collection.
The German Imperial Navy's Zeppelin L33 was an R-class airship that made an emergency crash-landing in Little Wigborough, Essex, on September 24, 1916. Struck by anti-aircraft fire after a bombing raid on London, the airship leaked gas and was intentionally set ablaze by its crew, serving as a massive turning point in British air defense intelligence
