This is a very rare find and fantastic condition German LZ16 Percussion 55mm fuse-detonator, long without delay, for the model 1916 for field gun. The fuse has been fired with some damage from the impact of that but still pretty much complete. It is in very nice condition it does not have any original markings.This is a steel centre with aluminium outer case made. It still has lots of original colour and has been very well cleaned. It is perfect for display and a rare one for a collection. It is the first one of these I have ever had.
The fuse was recoveredon the Ypres Battlefield in Belgium of 1914-1918.
