Very rare fantastic condition Internal aluminium panel with paintwork and leather cover attached from German Sea dragon reconnaissance aircraft, recovered from old German base in Copenhagen in Denmark
This is a very rare, fantastic condition internal aluminium panel that is not from a crashed aircraft but recovered from a scrapped German sea dragon after the war. The panel does still have its leather panel attached which were used as internal covers for hatches and gun ports that sort of thing the part does retain all its original colours and most of its original paintwork the very light green internal paint and the aluminium is still its shiny colour not discoloured very much. The part is undamaged by the impact of a crash it just has a few scrapes and knocks and a little bit of discolour but nothing bad it is in nice solid condition the part has been very nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection the part is 17 inches long and 4 half inches wide.
The panel is from German Blohm u. Voss BV 138 C-1 Seedrache (Sea Dragon) long range maritime reconnaissance aircraft which was part of Seefliegerhorst Aalborg in Denmark. Recovered from a post war dump site of parts that were originally used on the aircraft that ended up being captured and surrendered sea dragons from the base in Copenhagen. The part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with pictures.
Copenhagen was not the main base that was at Aalborg but its primary role in the context of seaplane operations was as a location for minor detachments or as a destination for aircraft needing repair or maintenance.
