Very rare box cover with maker marking from German Heinkel 111 bomber work number 1715shot down 8th October 1940, crashed at Rowlands Castle during the battle of Britain
This is a very rare part to get from a crash site of a German bomber shot down in the Battle of Britain. This is a box cover with grill face which is mag allow made with some original gray paintwork remains and red painted electrical arrow. The cover has some damage with a bit of pitting and little bit of rust it has been very well cleaned and has a lot of original colour it is in nice solid condition it has slightly damaged by the impact of the crash but it is perfect for display or any collection and a nice size at 9 inches by 4 inches in size. This cover comes from the crash site of the area of German Heinkel 111 bomber work number 1715 code G1+MS of 8 Staffel Kampfgeschwader 55 shot down 8th October 1940 and crashed in Hampshire. The part comes with 2 x A5 laminated information sheets with pictures and rare to get such a part these days from battle of Britain German aircraft.
