Very large blown artillery shell fragment that was recovered from the sea off Omaha Beach on the Normandy coast from the D-Day landings of 6th June 1944 in France.

This is a large blown apart section nearly half a projectile of larger size calibre projectile steel outer case which has blown apart after being fired it has, bent and ripped metal section from the side wall of a shell blown apart from an explosion. The section still has stones and silt attached to it from the sea bed it is rusty but solid and it has been lightly cleaned and is perfect for display or any military collection and is 11 inches long by 3 half inches wide in size.The shell section was recovered from the sea off Omaha Beach on the Normandy coast from the D-Day landings of 6th June 1944 in France.It comes with an A5 laminated information card.

The relic was bought at a fair in Normandy during the anniversary celebrations in the early 2000’s but had been recovered a few years early.
