This is a very rare to find from a German bomber shot down over England a variable control dial for range or frequency band selection from the FuG 10 radio FH set radio system inside the cockpit of this famous German bomber.

The dial which has clear to see maker markings and numbers that can be seen on it which is steel and aluminium made with mag allow case remains still on it with lots of original colours clear to see. The part has ripped and smashed by the impact of the crash and has broken off in the crash.The part is in nice condition it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection and is very solid not breaking up or crumbling and is 3 inches long by 3 inches wide. The radio part is from German Dornier DO 217 bomber work number 5591 on the night of the 17th- 18th January 1943 at 04.30. The part comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards.

The bomber was shot down by RAF night fighter the Dornier crashed in to a chalk pit at Pilgrims House, Westerham in Kent. The magazine comes with 3x A5 laminated information cards. The Dornier was on a night raid over England when it was intercepted by RAF Beaufighter of number 29 squadron flown by Wing Commander C.M Wightboycott and Flying Officer E.A Sanders.
