This is a lovely and very well maker marked with black ink stamp markings very clear to see. The part is from the undercarriage bay structure and is a nice section which is aluminium made.
The part is a few parts riveted together it does still retain most of its original colours but with very little paintwork remains it has ripped and bent up by the impact of the crash it is in nice solid condition the part has been very nicely cleaned but is still dirty in places but is perfect for display or any collection the part is 14 inches long and 7 inches wide. The part comes from RAF Mosquito work number DK325 of 105 squadron shot down during raid on German Gestapo headquarters in Oslo in Norway on the 25th September 1942 but was shot down and crashed. The part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with map and diagram.
The mosquito attacked the Gestapo headquarters building in Oslo in Norway on the 25th September 1942 the mosquito was shot down by German focke wulf 190’s over Oslofjord. Both pilots flight Sargent G.K Carter and Sargent W.S Young both airmen are buried in Oslo Western Civil Cemetery.
