Trench art with fired bullet head legs German 15cm schwere howitzer 13 cartridge case found on the famous Somme battlefield of 1916-1918.
This is fantastic bit of Trench art with bullet head legs that have been welded on the bottom. They are fired heads that have bent on impact. The case is for the German 15cm schwere howitzer 13 cartridge case which is separated propelling charge. It is pretty much undamaged not even much discolouration. The case still retains its brass colour lovely and clean. The case is complete on the bottom with its original markings and is dated November 1916 fairly clear to see the case is from a private collection on the Somme.
A very nice and not easy to find German artillery relic from the famous Somme battlefield of 1916-1918.
