This is a track link rubber pad from a German SDKFZ 250 half-track. While the rubber is missing, the metal base remains intact with clear maker markings and a 1943 date on the back. The link shows rust and some rust damage but is solid and stable. It has been carefully cleaned and is not breaking up, making it ideal for display or any military collection.
The track link pad was recovered from the site of a destroyed German 250 half-track used by the 46th Panzer Corps near the village of Gnilets. This was during the opening offensive of Operation Citadel on 5th July 1943, part of the attack on the northern side of the Kursk Salient (5th-12th July 1943) in Russia.
The rubber shoe comes with an A5 laminated information card featuring photographs.
