Totally rare German Lotfernrohr 7 D-1 bomb site with maker markings, label from cockpit of German Junkers Ju88 bomber number 550414 which was shot down on Night intruder raid over England in 1944
This is a totally rare Lotfernrohr 7 D-1 bomb site remains from the cockpit of German Junkers Ju88 bomber. The bomb site is mag allow made it is not complete it is the bottom section of it still with maker label in place. The part has ripped and smashed off in the impact of the crash it still has some original black paintwork remains clear to see also has many part numbers and maker markings very clear to see also with some internal parts still attached, the part has been very well cleaned it still has a lot of original colours this is a lovely part at 8inches by 8 inches wide and is a very rare one for display or any collection. This is the first time ever I have had a part of a German bomb site from crash that is how rare it is the part comes from German Junkers Ju88 bomber work number 550414 which was shot down on Night intruder raid over England in 1944.The part comes with 4 x A5 laminated information sheets with many pictures of the crash site and of the complete bomb site.
The bomber was shot down by sub-Lieutenant J.A Lawley Waklin and sub-Lieutenant H.Williams in a Mosquito of number 96 squadron. The JU88 crashed into the railway embankment opposite the Hop Pocket pub next to Paddock Wood station in Paddock Wood, Kent at 4.32am on 21st January 1944. The plane was recovered in 1973.
Lt H-J Petinna,Gefr G Lotz and Ober gefr O.Schewigel all were killed and Fw K.Scherger bailed out; wounded and was taken pow.
