This is a totally rare and lovely condition group of parts which there is next to nothing about and the first time i have ever had before. These parts were recovered from the area where jet crashed in 1943 a lot was cleared away by the Germans at the time there is very little to found now on the site these items were recovered in the early 2000’s by a local enthusiast then has been in private collection until now.
This group of parts is from German Heinkel He 280 V2 jet fighter [the worlds first jet fighter prototype.There are 3 aluminium made airframe sections and engine, still with a lot there original colours and some black paintwork and one has some maker markings they are really lovely clean parts that have been very well cleaned and have actually been very well preserved by the forest that the aircraft crashed in to..The parts have ripped and bent up by the crash they are 5-7 inches long and are perfect for display or any collection
.The parts come from German Heinkel He 280 V2 jet fighter [the worlds first jet fighter prototype Severe icing froze the control surfaces, making the aircraft completely uncontrollable during a test flight. Pilot Helmut Schenk safely jettisoned his towline (the jet engines had been removed for specific impulse-jet testing, requiring it to be towed aloft) and successfully used the compressed air-powered ejection seat to escape the worlds first ejector seat use.The jet crashed on January 13, 1942 near Rechlin around Larz test centre near Berlin.
The part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with pictures,map and diagrams.
