This is a Totally rare never had before British time and percussion fuse N°88 with a slow burning time composition for extra long range firing of shrapnel shells fired by the largest heavy guns including railway guns .The shell fuse is not totally complete missing its tip and on the bottom has a metal plate welded on as a display base the fuse still with some of its original markings and numbers all fairly clear to read and has all of its original brass colour but has discoloured in places but nothing to bad but the fuse has been very well cleaned and is in nice condition which is perfect and very rare for display or any collection.

This fuse recovered on the Ypres Battlefield in Belgium of 1914-1918.
