Spanish Civil War – Falangist Uniform Patch & Enamel Breast Badge (Fascist Falange)
A pair of original Spanish Civil War-era Falangist items consisting of a cloth uniform patch and an enamel Falange breast badge with pin.
Provenance
Both pieces were acquired from a Spanish house clearance dealer at a flea market in Vila Real de Santo António, a town in the Algarve, Portugal, close to the Spanish border, in 1992. At the time, many Spanish dealers travelled across the border to attend the large market.
Condition
The cloth patch is creased and lightly soiled, with remnants of blue thread visible at the top and bottom on the reverse, suggesting it was likely once sewn onto a uniform.
The enamel badge shows light age-related wear, including a small area of enamel loss at the top right corner. It is also dirty due to age but remains complete with its pin intact.
A genuine pair of period items from the Spanish Civil War era, retaining clear character and historical context.
