This is a very rare and nice condition lovely clean service access panel with its airframe plate still attached it has ripped of the aircraft whole.
The aluminium airframe section which still has most of its green camouflage paintwork also which still retains some of its original colours and is in relic condition but overall lovely condition it has ripped off by the impact of the crash but solid condition and have been nicely cleaned perfect for display or any collection and is 8 inches long and 6 inches wide in size. The part comes from French Morane-Saulner MS.406 fighter number 900 shot down 7th June 1940 by Me109 and crashed near Peronne on the Somme in France.The part comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards with pictures and diagrams.
French Morane-Saulnier MS.406 fighter number 900 was shot down during an intense aerial engagement on June 7, 1940. Assigned to the Groupe de Chasse (Fighter Group) GC I/6, the aircraft was lost in combat against faster and better-armed German Messerschmitt Bf 109 flown by Oberleutnant Robert Schneider.The French fighter crashed at 6.45pm at Bois d’Havrincourt near Peronne on the Somme during the height of the Battle of France.
