This is a very unusual find from the battlefield in this condition a Russian soldiers 2 pouch 1937 pattern Mosin Nagant rifle ammunition pouch which has soldiers name engraved on to the back of it.

The leather is in nice condition which is pretty much complete the leather is solid not braking up or falling apart it still retains it original colours it has been very nicely cleaned and is in nice solid condition it is perfect for any collection or any display. The pouch was recovered in the 1990’s while a trench was being dug laying cables on the grounds of the old Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler (LSSAH) barracks in Berlin-Lichterfelde. The pouch comes with 3 x A5 laminated information cards with many pictures.

The Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler (LSSAH) barracks in Berlin-Lichterfelde were a significant Nazi-era military base, later used by the U.S. Army as Andrews Barracks, and today are being converted into apartments and shops, retaining some historical significance while shifting to civilian use in Berlin's Lichterfelde district.

The barracks in the Finckensteinallee were originally built for the Prussian army and were later used by the Hitler’s bodyguard unit Leibstandarte-SS Adolf Hitler. Between 1945 and 1994, the barracks were used by the US Army. Nowadays, it is occupied by the German Federal Archives.
