This is a Russian enlisted soldier’s army issue 1907 pattern belt buckle which is not complete and looks battledamaged.The brass has discoloured in some places but does still have some original colour. It is still solid and has been very well cleaned. It is in good condition for relic as it is not breaking up or falling apart. It is perfect for display or any collection. The belt buckle was recovered in East Prussia from battlefield of Tannenberg fought, August 1914 between German Army and Russian Army and comes with A5 laminated information card with pictures.

Battle of Tannenberg, (August 26–30, 1914) fought in East Prussia (now Stębark, Poland ), that ended in a German victory over the Russians. The crushing defeat occurred barely a month into the conflict, but it became emblematic of the Russian Empire's experience in World War I.The Battle of Tannenberg was a decisive engagement between Russian and German forces in the Great War.
