Russian 76.2mm brass shell case with ink stamp marking,fired by Soviet T-34-76 tank, recovered from site of destroyed tank,5th Guards Army in area of the Psel River near Kursk on July 1943 battlefield
This is a Russian 76.2mm brass shell case fired by Soviet T-34-76 tank.The case still its round shape but the neck has damaged from being fired with the rare part being the fairly clear to see black ink stamp markings on one side of the case.The brass case does not retain its shiny original brass colour it has discolored from being buried with some cracks in it as well. The case has some of its stamps and maker markings which can be seen on the bottom but is in nice condition for battlefield recovered fired case it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The shell case was recovered from the site of destroyed tank of 5th Guards Army it was recovered in the area of the Psel River, south of Kursk on the Voronezh front. This area was defended by them against the German 2nd SS Panzer corps during the battle part of Operation Citadel the German Kursk offensive in July-August 1943 in Russia.The case comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards with a map.
