Very rare Russian RPG 40 anti-tank grenade carry box+grenade recovered from the airfield at Voroponovo. This airfield was in the 6th Army pocket during the Battle of Stalingrad from 1942-1943

This is a very rare find from the battlefield a Russian RPG 40 anti-tank grenade carry box complete with its internal wooden racking which is complete and has one empty grenade case still in place which has some green paint remains but no handle and is empty and inert. The tin which is in relic condition rusty all over but only a few small rust holes the lock is broken it has a couple bolt holes in the bottom to be mounted on to a vehicle one of these holes is damaged. The tin has some clear to see green paintwork remains on the inside that can be seen it has been very well cleaned it is very solid not braking up or falling apart a very nice example of this rare box that i have never had one before it is perfect for display or any collection. The carry box was recovered from the airfield at Voroponovo.
