





























Russian 120mm mortar bomb tail section dated 1943 fired by the Russian 1st Guards Tank Army and recovered near the village of Sachsendorf on the Seelow Heights, 16-17 April 1945
This is a Russian 120mm mortar bomb tail section, a fired battlefield relic that is nearly complete with all fins, though a few are bent or ripped from impact. This back section of a standard 120?mm mortar retains its primer, showing some maker markings and dated 1943. It was blown off in the explosion after being fired. The piece is empty and inert, deactivated by condition.
The mortar tail section is solid and in relic condition, retaining some of its original paint. The metal is pitted and rusty but overall remains in very good condition for display or inclusion in any collection. It has been carefully cleaned.
