Russian 107mm heavy artillery gun brass shell case propelling charge recovered near Prokhorovka on the 1943 Kursk battlefield.

This is a Russian 107mm heavy artillery gun brass shell case which is a propelling charge. The case looks complete but with a small amount of damage around the neck from being fired. It does not retain its shiny original brass colour but still has a lot of remains of its brass colour but it has discoloured from being buried. It has no maker markings on the bottom that can be seen. The primer has gone rusty and has no markings but it is in nice condition for a battlefield recovered case. It has been nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection.
The case was recovered from near the village of Plota which is south Prokhorovka ware the main tank battle was on the 12th July 1943 the site of the largest Tank battle of the war and the last great German offensive of the war in the East at Kursk in Russia.
