This is a nice condition German LKZ 16 shell percussion fuse used on gas shells fired by the 7.7cm field gun. The fuse is not complete just the nose cap of the steel and aluminium made. It has been fired and the bottom section has ripped off during the impact. It does have some damage from that. It is in very nice condition with lots of original colour and has been very well cleaned. Perfect for display and a nice one for the collection.
This fuse was recovered on the Ypres Battlefield in Belgium of 1914-1918.
