This is a rare to find French 1887 pattern Army issue prewar, 1 litre water bottle with dark blue cover used by a chasseurs soldier in 1914.The bottle is nice to find in this condition with most of its fabric dark blue cover this has its lovely dark blue colour but dirty the bottle has its original colour and light blue paintwork remains.The bottle is missing its top but with only light surface rust not thick heavy rust or holes on the section of metal bottle you can see the bottle is very solid it is in very nice condition not relic and has been nicely cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The bottle was recovered many years ago on the Verdun battlefield of 1916-1918 in France and comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards.
