This is part of a German grain or rations sack, still retaining the ‘Eagle’ stamp it has ripped apart during its recovery It is in nice solid condition it is not falling apart at all and has been lightly cleaned. It is perfect for display or any collection. A very unusual find from the battlefield . The sack was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield. The sack comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards.
