Original Imperial German M1907/10 Infantry Krätzchen Field Cap – Depot Marked – Untouched Attic Find

£225.00
Only 1 available

An original Imperial German M1907/10 Infantry Krätzchen field cap, retaining its original depot markings, linen lining and both original cockades. This is an untouched example showing honest wartime service and many decades of storage.

Constructed in field-grey wool with the distinctive red infantry band and matching red piping, the cap retains its original Imperial Reich cockade and state cockade, both displaying an attractive period patina consistent with the rest of the cap.

Inside, the cap retains its original linen lining with a clear depot acceptance stamp and size stamp (56), further confirming its period manufacture and military issue. The original padding also remains in place.

The cap has suffered extensive moth damage over many years of storage, with significant losses to the outer wool, particularly across the crown. Despite this, the cap remains structurally recognisable and displays extremely well as an untouched relic. Importantly, it has not been restored, repaired or altered, preserving its originality for the collector.

Items such as this offer a tangible connection to the German soldier of the First World War and are becoming increasingly difficult to find in completely untouched condition.

Condition:

  • Original Imperial German M1907/10 Infantry field cap.

  • Original field-grey wool with red infantry band and piping.
