This is a Oil thermostat regulator housing from the oil temperature control system inside Junkers Jume 211 engine of this famous dive bomber.
The part is a large pipework connector block it is rusty but very solid and still has some red undercoat primer paintwork in place. It is in relic condition but not breaking up or crumbling. It has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection and a nice part at 8 inches long by 3 half inches wide.The part comes from German Ju87b-1 stuka dive bomber of 3/stG2 which was shot down at 1.00pm on the 16th August 1940 it crashed at Pagham during the battle of Britain.The part comes with 2 x A5 laminated information card with pictures and crash site picture also with diagram picture showing the part and where abouts on the aircraft it is from in clear pictures..
The plane was shot down by RAF Hurricanes of NO 43 Squadron and 601 Squadron during a dive bomb attack on Tangmere Airfield. The plane crashed and exploded at Honar Farm in Pagham the crew Unteroffizier P.Linse and Obergefreiter R.Messerschmidt.
