Fantastic pair of tops from MG34/42 ammunition bags (gurtsack) that were used in Tiger tanks - in the photos above you can see them hanging inside the turret and also the storage layout as recorded when a captured vehicle was examined. Below you can see photos of a complete example.
Recovered from a field near the village of Trun in which it is believed a rubbish pit / bomb crater has been used to dispose of German equipment after the battle in the Falaise pocket , Normandy France 1944.
They have been well cleaned and would make a great addition to a display/collection. They come with a laminated A5 information card
