This is a lovely track wheel from British Bren gun carrier.The wheel is complete, although the tyre is missing. The steel wheel retains most of its original green paintwork and has clear to see maker marking and dated 1944 and is a solid relic with no major damage only with some very light rust in places . The wheel has been carefully cleaned, making it ideal for display or any collection. This is a particularly rare piece recovered from the battlefield.The wheel comes from British Bren gun carrier properly used by the British 30th Corps. The wheel was found on a Farm in the Village of Clecy near Falaise in Normandy from the battles around the Falaise Pocket in August 1944 and comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards with pictures.
