Lovely relic German K98 rifle bayonet blade in its scabbard with leather frog+belt remains that was recovered in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy 1944

This is a lovely condition battlefield recovered a German K98 rifle bayonet blade still in its scabbard which has snapped clean away from the handle properly battledamage.The scabbard still with its leather frog attached and the remains of the soliders leather belt as well. The scabbard and the leather frog are held together with cable tie,the 2 leather parts are still there lovely black colour and solid not braking up or falling apart.The scabbard is rusty but solid witha few small holes and overall it is in nice condition for a relic it has been very nicely cleaned and is in very solid condition perfect for collection and perfect for display.

The bayonet remains and leather work was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield. The bayonet comes with a 2 x A5 laminated information cards with map.
