German 9 cm shrapnel shell nose section with a Dopp Z 92 nF fuse (Model 1892 double-effect 45 mm time & percussion fuse no delay). The nose cone is in very good condition and retains most of its original markings and its original, aged brass finish. The steel nose cone has been ripped away from the shell body by firing; the fuse fits loosely in the cone but presents well and has been thoroughly cleaned. A striking black-toned interior and overall attractive condition make this piece an excellent display item or addition to a historical collection.
