This is a complete German World War 1 re issued Gewehr 98 rifle which is a near complete metal work with no wood but is missing its bolt, it is empty of all ammunition. The rifle is deactivated by condition obviously plain to see with no moving parts all and the barrel is bent. The rifle is in nice condition for a relic rusty it has been very nicely cleaned and is in very solid condition perfect for collection and perfect for display. The rifle was recovered near the village of Honsfield in the Losheim gap attacked by the 6th SS Panzer Army on the 16th December 1944 during the Ardennes forest offensive in the Battle of the Bulge in 1944-45.The rifle comes with 2x A5 laminated information cards with pictures.
