Large section of blown armored plate from from German Ju87b-1 stuka dive bomber of 3/stG2 which was shot down on 16th August 1940 during the battle of Britain

This is a blown apart section of armoured plate from the underbelly of the aircraft to stop ground fire the part which has ripped apart by the impact of the crash which has a couple of large bolt holes. The armour section it is in relic but solid condition it does still have some original some red undercoat paintwork left on it clear to see it is rusty but solid and has been very well cleaned up the part has ripped apart and is 19 inches long by 2 inches wide and perfect for display or any collection. The armour section comes from German Ju87b-1 stuka dive bomber of 3/stG2. This dive bomber was shot down at 1.00pm on the 16th August 1940 during the battle of Britain.The part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with crash site pictures.

The aircraft was shot down by RAF Hurricanes of NO 43 Squadron and 601 Squadron during a dive bomb attack on Tangmere Airfield. The plane crashed and exploded at Honar Farm in Pagham the crew Unteroffizier P.Linse and Obergefreiter R.Messerschmidt.
