This is a very large perspex-framed a very large section of silk parachute .The section has partly discolored and stained from being buried it is in very solid condition not braking up or falling apart it has been carefully cleaned ripped up by the impact of the crash . It is presented in a perspex-fronted frame, complete with background information and numerous photographs and pictures , making it perfect for display. The frame measures 28 inches by 20 inches in size.The part is from German Junkers JU88 bomber work number 0345.This was a night fighter of 4/NJG2 which was on a night intruder sortie over East Anglia, England on the 17th April 1941 and the night fighter crashed and exploded near Peterborough.

The crash remains a mystery as there are British fighter claims of a ju88 for that night and its was not shot down by Anti-aircraft fire. The plane crashed late in the night at Hurns Farm, Gedney Hill near Peterborough.
