This is a very rare to find large glass-framed group of parts airframe section with black bulkan cross insignia paintwork also maker marked airframe section with black stamped 31 and a section 7.92mm ammunition belt from one of the nose 7.92mm machine guns.The parts do still retain lots of there original paintwork and colours. The parts have ripped,bent and smashed by the impact of the crash but are in nice solid condition and have been carefully cleaned. They are presented in a large glass-fronted box frame, complete with all aircraft information and numerous photographs including the crash site and pictures , making it perfect for display or any collection. The frame measures 18 inches by 18 inches in size.The parts come from German Messerschmitt BF 110 work number 3560.This fighter bomber which was shot down at 9.50am on the 27th September 1940.The pilot was Hauptmann H.Liensberger who was a Gruppenkommandeur and Unteroffizier A.Kopge were both killed in the crash during the Battle of Britain.

The Messerschmitt 110 was intercepted by RAF fighters during sortie over Redhill and chased south by flying officer P.R-F.Burton of NO249 squadron. Percy Burton pursued the Messerschmitt at very low level and eventually deliberately rammed the aircraft, and it lost its tailplane over Hailsham. The German fighter bomber crashed and broke up at Simmons Field near Hamlins Mill in Sussex.
