Airframe structure section from RAF Bristol Beaufighter number NV182 which was shot down on 26th April 1945 while on raid targeting German shipping in Fedafjord, Norway.

This is a aluminium airframe structure section which has lightly corroded from laying around in the woods for many years. The section still with some of its original green/gray camouflage paintwork remains fairly clear to see it still retains some of its original colour it has only very slightly ripped and bent by the impact of the crash it is in nice clean condition perfect for display or any collection and is 11 inches long by 2 half inches wide the part comes from RAF Bristol Beaufighter number NV182 shot down at 14.30pm on the 26th April 1945 during raid over Norway. The part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with pictures of the crash site.

The part has come from a private collection which the items were collected many years ago directly from the crash sites he visited and found including surface finds or some aircraft that were dug out and recovered all these parts now available for the first time.

This aircraft was part of a 28-aircraft strong strike force They were escorted by 12 Mustangs all from the Dallachy Strike Wing (RAF Dallachy) targeting shipping in Fedafjord, Norway. Following the attack, Luftwaffe Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighters intercepted the Beaufighters on there way home with Beaufighter NV182 being shot down with its starboard engine on fire. The aircraft crashed into the Flekkefjord/Brevigan Bay area in Norway.

The crew of the Beaufighter were Flying Officer John Roger Eyton-Morgan and Flight Sergeant James Thomson Knox were killed when the plane crashed.

They are both buried at Feda Churchyard.
