This is a German MG 15 machine gun magazine back panel from a magazine used onboard Heinkel He 111 which was shot down during the battle of Britain. The back panel is in relic and rusty condition which is 2 separate parts broken in the middle.The panel is rusty but solid not braking up or falling apart it has been very well cleaned and is perfect for display or any collection. The part which is 9 inches long in size. The part comes from German Heinkel He 111H-3 work number 5680 the plane dumped its bombs and force landed in Burmarsh at 4.00pm on 11th September 1940 during Battle of Britain. These parts were in the Blake Hall Airscene museum in Essex collection until it shut down in 2007 and a lot of the items were sold off at auction. The part comes with 2 x A5 laminated information sheets with pictures of the crash

The plane was damaged by AA fire and then attacked by fighters including pilot officer T.S Wade and pilot D.G Williams of NO 92 squadron during sortie to bomb London Docks. The plane was set alight by the crew and burned out Feldwebel.H.Dreyer and Uunteroffizier H.Stirnemann,Feldwebel H.Friedrich and Unteroffizier K.Hofmann all bailed out and captured unhurt.
