This is a very rare find in this condition Perfect condition internal structure frame member from rear engine compartment a recanisable part from this famous V1 rocket the flying bomb.
This part is undamaged it still has aa of its original colours and its white undercoat paintwork the aluminium made part is not rusty at all as it has never been used on a rocket must have been made and not used for some reason it has been nicely cleaned, and it is in nice solid condition perfect for display or any collection. The part is 13 inches long and 3 inches wide and was recovered from the Fiesler Werke factory in Kassel which made flying bombs from 1944.The part comes with 2xA5 laminated information cards with pictures and diagrams.
The Gerhard Fieseler Werke in Kassel was the primary manufacturer of the V-1 flying bomb (Fi 103) during WWII. Using concentration camp inmates, the plant churned out the weapons at an accelerated pace. Allied bombing heavily damaged the facility in 1944, dispersing much of its production to underground sites like the Mittelwerke.June 1942 (Initial Contract): The Reich Aviation Ministry (RLM) officially selected Fieseler to build the fuselage and coordinate the airframe assembly under the secret designation Flakzielgerät 76 (FZG 76). Prototype and test units were hand-built here over the next year.
