This is an internal cog part with a bearing inside it from inside a Junkers Jumo 211 engine and has been well cleaned and is 2 inches long in size.The part still retains some of its original colours in place and does have some damage from the impact of the crash but was well protected by the engine and lovely condition from being in the English channel for 30 odd years but not to badly they are still very solid not braking up at all and have been very nicely cleaned and are perfect for display or any collection. This is a nice part and a rare one for the collection the engine part comes with 2 X A5 laminated information cards with pictures.

The engine parts are from inside Junkers Jumo 211 engine that was recovered by fisherman in 1970’s from the English Channel near Selsey Bill and is believed to be from

German Ju87b-1 stuka dive bomber of 3/stG2 which was shot down at 1.00pm on the 16th August 1940 during the Battle of Britain. The plane crashed into the sea west of Selsey Bill it was shot down by RAF Hurricanes of Number 43 Squadron and 601 Squadron. The crew Unteroffizier P.Bohn and Obergefreiter J.Bader both were picked up by Royal Navy launch and captured.
