He 162 jet aircraft maintenance panel that was found at the former Leck Luftwaffe airfield in Northern Germany where Jagdgeschwader 1 were based.
The panel is in good solid condition with a fair amount of original paint. Some corrosion damage to edge and back. Locking mechanism is seized

The British forces captured approximately 50 of the aircraft there on the 6th May 1945. Although largely a wooden plane there were several metal access panels for the fuel filler point, oxygen system & engine inspection ports.
