This is a nice large glass-framed and rare parts from the famous German Jet fighter.There are 4 parts in all they are a thermostat from the back of a gauge and internal parts from a gauge on the cockpit control panel . The parts are not badly damaged from the impact of the crash and are in nice solid condition and have been carefully cleaned. They are presented in a glass-fronted box frame, complete with all aircraft information and numerous photographs and pictures, making it perfect for display or any collection. The frame measures 10 half inches by 10 half inches in size.The parts come from German Messerschmitt me 262 jet of 9./JV44.The Messerschmitt which was shot down on 17th March 1945 when it was attacked by American P-51 fighter while trying to land at Parchim south of Rostock on the Baltic coast in Germany.

The pilot of the jet was Lt Wegmann, who managed to bale out before the aircraft crashed into woodland near the airfield.
