This is a glass-framed lovely condition pair of parts which are a small airframe panel with a hinge and a lovely complete engine label both with paintwork and a nice pair of clean parts. The airframe panel has ripped and bent by the impact of the crash the label is un damaged they are both in very solid condition and have been carefully cleaned and retain most of there original colours .They are presented in a glass-fronted box frame, complete with background and aircraft information and numerous pictures, making it perfect for display and so hard to find battle of Britain Me109 parts in such nice condition. The frame measures 10 half inches by 10 half inches in size.The parts are from German Messerschmitt bf 109E-4 of 2/LG2 the pilot was Unteroffizier Buschmeyer he was shot down at 4.00pm on 24th August 1940 by a RAF Hurricane during the Battle of Britain.

The Messerschmitt was escorting Heinkel 111’s of KG53 to attack Hornchurch aerodrome but he was shot down in combat by Pilot Officer Wicks of 56 squadron during a dogfight over the Thames Estuary. The Messerschmitt crashed at Canewdon near Rochford in Essex. The pilot E.Buschmeyer baled out and was captured.
