This is a glass-framed airframe section with green camouflage paintwork which is a nice clean section. The part has ripped and bent by the impact of the crash, it is in very solid condition and has been carefully cleaned and retains most of its original colours . It is presented in a glass-fronted box frame, complete with background information and numerous photographs including crew picture , making it perfect for display. The frame measures 9 half inches by 9 half inches in size.The part is from American B17 flying fortress bomber number 42-31367 named Chow Hound of 91st Bomber Group which was shot down by German flak it was hit in fuselage and blew aircraft in half, on the 8th August 1944 and the bomber crashed at Gelnannes which is South of Alencon in Normandy.
