German world war 1 type of MG34/42 ammunition tin solid relic condition recovered from near the village of Trun in the Falaise Pocket in Normandy 1944

This is a German battle damaged mg 34/42 single ammunition tin which is in relic condition very rusty all over but only a few small rust holes the lock is broken and the tin has bent its lid does not close properly it has its handle but this has rusted solid .The tin has clear to see impact hit on one of the side panels it has no paintwork that can be seen and is a unusual type to find it is the world war 1 type re used by the Wehrmacht it has been very well cleaned it is very solid not braking up or falling apart a very nice example of this mg ammunition tin battlefield recovered.

The tin was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle in the Falaise Pocket, Normandy in France 1944. A nice rare relic from the famous Normandy battlefield. The tin comes with A5 laminated information card.
