German Wooden crate factory supply to the frontline units a packing case which carried 12 complete panzerfaust 60 launch tubes with a last packed date label of the 20th February 1945 found in Koblenz
This is a German Wooden crate factory supply to the frontline units a packing case which carried 12 complete panzerfaust 60 launch tubes The crate is in very nice condition, with the wood still retaining most of its original dark brown stain, though it shows a lot of dirt, discoloration, and minor damage. The crate remains solid, not breaking up or falling apart. It does not have any woodworm, and the box is well preserved and a nice size at 39 inches long by 15 inches wide. It has some faint maker markings in black ink and a paper label on the front with faint markings that can be seen. On the inside it has its paper maker label with a totally rare very late war last packing date of 20th February 1945 all perfectly readable markings. Both hinges are intact and in good condition with one of the locks still works fine the other is missing, and the lid opens and closes without issue. The box still has both its wooden carry handles are also present. Inside there are some knocks and marks from use, but nothing significant. This is a fine and nice example of this storage crate which is perfect for display or any collection. The crate stored panzerFaust’s for the defence of one of railroad bridges across the Rhine River at Koblenz. The crate was found years ago and had been stored locally until being recently sold off after the building were emptied out for reconstruction into housing.The crate comes with 2 x A5 laminated information cards.
