German Wehrmacht Fuel can maker marked and dated 1940 found in city of Arras either used during the German invasion of France in May 1940 or the occupation of 1940-1944
This is a German Wehrmacht Fuel can maker marked and dated 1940 which looks like it has been used post war and has a post war over paint. The can which is in semi relic condition lightly rusty all over but with no rust holes that can be seen.On the bottom it has been repaired with a small bit of wartime weld. The top does not open it has stuck also on the inside it has some dirt in it making it a bit heaver then normal.The can has lots of clear to see paintwork remains a few different coats but still with all maker markings and has a maker stamp in the middle of which all can be seen nice and clear it has been very well cleaned it is very solid not braking up or falling apart a nice example of this can battlefield recovered.This fuel can was found in city of Arras either used during the German invasion of France in May 1940 or the occupation of 1940-1944.The can comes with A5 laminated information card.
