This is a German Wehrmacht Fuel can maker marked and dated 1940. The can which is in semi relic condition lightly rusty all over but with no rust holes that can be seen.On the bottom it has been repaired with a wartime weld, the top still opens and closes and also locks as well.The can has lots of clear to see blue and black paintwork remains with all maker markings and an unusual maker stamp in the middle of which all can be seen nice and clear it has been very well cleaned it is very solid not braking up or falling apart a nice example of this can battlefield recovered.This can was found and used post war from around the 1942-1943 battlefield in Stalingrad in Russia. And comes with an A5 laminated information cards with map.
