This is a�German Wehrmacht 1st grade shooter Shield for Army Marksman's Lanyard that was owned by a German soldier or sniper fighting with the 6th Army in Stalingrad. The badge is in very nice relic but solid condition, and is aluminium made. Still retains its original colour, the centre of the eagle and the swastika. It has a small hole but other then that complete and on the back it has no pins. It has been very well cleaned and is a rare find from the battlefield.

The badge was recovered from the airfield at Voroponovo which was in the 6th Army pocket during the Battle of Stalingrad from 1942-1943 in Russia.
