Original German vehicle first aid kit, as used in half-tracks and other military vehicles during the Second World War. This example displays clear battle damage to one end of the box, with some of its original medical contents still remaining inside.
Recovered from a farm outbuilding near the village of Digosville, just east of Cherbourg on the Cotentin Peninsula, Normandy. It is a genuine relic of the fierce fighting that saw German forces pushed back up the peninsula throughout June 1944, culminating in the surrender of Cherbourg on 1 July 1944.
The kit has been left in its original "as found" condition, preserving its authentic wartime appearance and remarkable character. Cleaning or restoration would only detract from its historical integrity.
A rare opportunity to own an untouched relic from the Normandy Campaign.
Supplied complete with a laminated information card.
