This is a German steel shell case remains for 3.7cm PAK 36 anti tank gun which is the bottom section of case with none original markings on the base can be seen.The case is battle damaged blown apart in the battle but is in nice solid condition for a steel case battlefield recovered it is very solid not braking up or falling apart it has been very nicely cleaned perfect to display or any collection. This shell case was recovered from a field near Trun, which we think was a pit dug by the allies where lots of German equipment was thrown in and buried after the battle, Falaise Pocket in France 1944. A nice relic from the Normandy battlefield. The case comes with A5 laminated information card.
